About this directory
What this directory is
Tampa FL Pest Control Service Guide is an independent directory covering 161 pest control businesses serving Tampa FL and the surrounding area. It’s built for homeowners and property managers who need to compare local exterminators and pest companies without digging through scattered review sites one at a time. Whether you’re dealing with drywood termites, a rodent problem in an older bungalow, or you just want a quarterly pest plan, the goal here is to give you one place to see who’s operating nearby and how they stack up against each other.
We also generate enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with someone, we pass your request along to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that. This never changes how a business is scored or where it lands in our rankings. The quote page spells out this arrangement in more detail if you want the specifics before you submit a request.
How listings and rankings get built
Every listing starts with public business information: names, service areas, licensing details where available, and how a company presents itself. On top of that, we pull together and summarize what recent Google reviews say about a business, looking for patterns in response time, pricing complaints, technician professionalism, and repeat treatment issues. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead we link out to the business’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself.
Rankings come from a published rubric applied to that data, nothing else. There’s no fee to be listed higher and no way to buy a better score. If you want the full breakdown of how factors are weighted, our methodology page walks through it.
A business owner can request corrections to factual details like hours, phone numbers, service areas, or licensing info, and we’ll update those promptly. What an owner cannot do is edit their own score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. That stays tied to the data and the rubric.
Sponsorship, when it appears
Some pages may include sponsored placements. These are always labeled “Sponsored,” displayed in a separate section from the earned rankings, and they never move a business up or down in the actual ranked list. Earned position and paid visibility are kept apart on purpose.
Who’s behind it
This directory is published by Swift Strike Pest Media. Shawn Goff runs the operation, having spent time working on lead generation campaigns for pest control companies before deciding to build a directory that leans on published review data and public business records instead of paid placement to determine rank. The directory is refreshed monthly so listings and standings stay current. Editorial oversight of the rankings themselves is handled by Ethan Silva, Reviews Editor, who maintains the rubric and reviews how it’s applied across listings.

FAQ
- Can a business pay to rank higher?
- No. Rankings come from a published rubric applied to public business data and summarized review patterns. Sponsored placements exist separately and are always labeled, but they don't move earned rankings.
- Do you post the actual text of Google reviews?
- No. We synthesize patterns from recent reviews and link out to each business's Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself.
- Can a listed business change its own score?
- A business can correct factual details like hours or service areas. It cannot edit its score, sentiment summary, or ranking position.
- What happens when I ask to be matched with a provider?
- We pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request and may earn a referral fee for the match. This has no effect on how businesses are ranked.
